Bear Cottage is a children’s hospice that helps families cope with the impossible—to care for a child who has a life-limiting illness.  To care for a child who is unlikely to see their 18th birthday, or their ninth, or even their first. For many people, Bear Cottage is perceived as a sad place. But for those who visit there, the staff that work there and the volunteers and community who support them, it is an incredibly special and happy place where lasting memories are created. For the special kids who stay there, there are no happy endings, no miracle cures.

This is heartbreaking to think about, but it is only part of the story. Even though the outlook for these kids is a sad one, Bear Cottage is actually one of the most uplifting and inspiring places you could ever visit. Life is celebrated, lived to its fullest, and also fondly remembered.

One of the most uplifting places you could visit

Omega will be supporting Bear Cottage in a number of ways. Firstly, our staff will be going out into the community raising money directly for Bear Cottage. Secondly, Clark Equipment staff will be volunteering to provide physical help on special projects such as gardening and maintenance on the property.

Clark Equipment CEO, Robert Hammond, stated “We are honored to help Bear Cottage and their special kids. They are an inspiration.”
