Clark Charity Challenge
On Tuesday, 17th June, Clark Equipment gave 4 staff members the opportunity to participate in volunteer work at Bear Cottage to assist with an on-going art and craft fundraising project.
Bear Cottage provides palliative and end of life care to children with life limiting illnesses, as well as providing support and respite to the families and carers of these children. Clark Equipment staff assisted in using the artworks created by the children staying at Bear Cottage to make greeting cards that are sold to raise much needed funds for Bear Cottage.
Our staff members were able to make 156 cards which will total $260 worth of sales for Bear Cottage, all of which goes straight back into Bear Cottage. The cost is $10 for a pack of 6 cards including envelopes. This year Clark Equipment has dedicated our annual “Charity Challenge” program to Bear Cottage. So far in 2013/14 we have managed to raise over $20,000 for Bear Cottage through staff assistance and events.
